Col Travis J. Perry serves as the Deputy Wing Commander, 151st Wing, Utah Air National Guard, Salt Lake City, Utah. He is responsible to the 151st Wing Commander for organizing, training, and equipping 5 groups, 12 squadrons, and 3 flights in executing aerial refueling needs, worldwide intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance, nuclear command, control, and communications support. His broad range of responsibilities include ensuring combat readiness and mission capability of the 151st Wing flying mission, three tenant units; the 109th Air Control Squadron, 130th Engineering Installation Squadron, 151st Intelligence Reconnaissance Surveillance Group, and the newly assigned KC-135 Test Detachment. He supports the Wing Commander in ensuring readiness and complying with, and enforcing federal/state regulations pertaining to operations, property, personnel, and equipment.
Col. Perry was commission through AFROTC, Detachment 850, University of Utah in 2002 and was immediately assigned as a maintenance officer to the 388th Fighter Wing, Hill AFB, UT. In December 2007 he joined the Utah Air National Guard and has held multiple positions as a title 32 federal technician serving as the Military Personnel Management Officer Joint Force Headquarters, the Inspection coordinator 151st Inspector General, the Commander 151st Force Support Squadron, the Wing Executive Officer 151st Air Refueling Wing, and other various positions as an Aircraft Maintenance Officer. Prior to his current position, Col Perry was the Military Personnel Management Officer for Joint Force Headquarters, at the Roland R. Wright Air National Guard Base, Salt Lake City Utah.
