U.S. Air Force Technical Sgt. Kelley Sessions is the Non-commissioned Officer in charge of the Commander Support Staff in the 151st Mission Support Group, 151st Air Refueling Wing.

Sessions started her eight-year career in the Utah Air National Guard working in Security Forces serving in multiple capacities from flight team member to successfully filling the role of Unit Deployment Manager. After serving five years in Security Forces, Sessions was personally selected to serve in her current role in the Mission Support Group and has been performing at the highest standard for the last two years.

“I've had a very successful career from the time just coming in”, said Sessions. “But that's mostly due to the mentors that I have had.

Sessions comes from a large family and feels like the Utah Air National Guard is an extension of that. She also mentors many upcoming Airmen to help them achieve their military, academic and fitness goals.

“The relationships that you build, It can be like a family”, Sessions said. “It's not only about lifelong friendships but about helping each other out through our careers as well.

She has faced many challenges, one of which being the first airmen and female to win the Utah National Guards best warrior competition and now enjoys mentoring new airmen to compete. Sessions also had the opportunity to compete in the Spartan Race Trifecta World Championships in Sparta, Greece.

“I'm going out there and finding the opportunities, asking myself ‘how can I do this? How can I be a part of this?’”, Sessions continued. “These experiences are something that no one can take away from you, you should be volunteering for everything, but the mission comes first and the needs of the squadron. Be selfless and put those needs before your own.”
