The 151st Air Refueling Wing will host the 47th Annual Air National Guard Bowling Tournament May 6 through 8 in Salt Lake City.

Founded in 1962 by U.S. Air Force Sgt. John Hylton, this tournament is open to current members of the Air National Guard, ANG employees, retirees and family members.

"The two-day tournament features five-person teams, singles and doubles," said Senior Master Sgt. Trent Moyer, Utah Air Guard member and tournament director. "Busses will transport delegates from the hotel to the bowling center and back, and door prizes will be presented at the final awards banquet."

The original tournament location was in Martinsburg, West Virginia and was moved to Salt Lake City, Utah in 1965. From then on, the delegates voted to have the tournament rotate to different cities around the United States.

"The tournament should be a great opportunity for camaraderie with ANG members from across the country," said Sergeant Moyer. "Even if you know someone who is not a bowler, I encourage them to contact me if they want to help with the event."
